Product Executive (Groups)

The Product Bookings department secures hotel space for our leisure groups and ensures that the products meet our clients’ requirements. This is a supplier-facing role and requires close cooperation with the Quotations Team and the Sales Team. It is a busy, multiple priorities environment where a strong teamwork mindset and a positive attitude is essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring a competitive price for our clients, within a short turnaround time
  • Negotiating hotel rates and terms & conditions; achieving an agreed margin for the company
  • Developing relationships with hotels: exchanging feedback, providing updates, identifying ways of customising requests to suppliers to optimise outcome
  • Maximising usage of pre-booked space
  • Liaising with internal clients (Sales, Quotations, Business Development)
  • Storing and presenting product knowledge

Required skills and experience

  • A positive attitude; confident and persuasive manner
  • An effective team player
  • Negotiation skills
  • Accurate working style, with strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of our destinations Great Britain and Ireland
  • Strong communication skills, including an excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English
  • Previous experience in group or coach travel is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
