Lake District National Park
Visit the UNESCO Lake District famed for its spectacular natural beauty and often used as a source of inspiration for British poets and writers. Start the visit in the welcoming village of Grasmere and stop at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. Dove Cottage, located just outside the village was home to beloved British poet William Wordsworth, and today is a fascinating museum. There is no better way to enjoy the tranquillity of the Lake District than with a cruise on Lake Windermere from Ambleside to Bowness-on-Windermere. Travel back in time to historic York. At the Jorvik Viking Centre discover 1000 year old remains from when the Vikings invaded England.
