News No-deal risk averted – Newly elected UK Parliament will approve transitional agreement by 31 January 2020

Hotels & More, the B2B destination specialist for group and individual travel to the UK and Ireland, provides updates on the Brexit negotiations.

In yesterday's parliamentary elections, the Conservative Party won the majority of seats. The transitional agreement negotiated by Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the EU will now be adopted by Parliament and enter into force on 31 January 2020 when the United Kingdom officially withdraws from the EU.

"Through this election result, there will be an orderly exit from the EU. The transitional agreement will be adopted on the day the UK leaves, on 31.01.2020, and will continue to apply to existing entry requirements for tourists. That means that a "Hard Brexit" and "No-Deal" scenario are off the table. Therefore, our clients and their customers can have confidence in their future travel arrangements to the UK." commented Paul Maine, Group CEO of Tour Partner Group.

Hotels & More will provide information about further developments in cooperation with VisitBritain, UKinbound and ETOA. For further questions, please contact your personal account manager on 0044 20 8861 9300.
