News QualityBus Awards

On the 23rd of February the QualityBus Awards 2018 took place in Wolfsburg, Germany. Every year German coach operators with the best client reviews are awarded by QualityBus in the categories “Good” and “Outstanding”. For the second time the award was presented within an official ceremony supported by Hotels & More, member of Tour Partner Group.

Hinrika Busemann | Hotels & More | Quality Bus Award

Karin Urban, Non-Executive Director of Hotels & More and Hinrika Busemann, Head of Sales and responsible for the German-speaking market, represented the company at the event. Hinrika Busemann had the honour of presenting the winners with the prize and joined Josef Bertl for an interview to talk about the partnership with the coach operator trade.

Josef: This is the first time we’ve had sponsorship for the QualityBus Award. Why did Hotels & More as a tour operator decide to become a sponsor?

Hinrika: The importance of online reviews is increasing every day. The feedback that customers’ of our bus and group tour operators leave gets back to us – whether we like it or not. That’s why I think it’s important and great that a portal has been established for the German market, which is trustworthy and has an interest in genuine and authentic reviews. Those help to maintain or even improve the quality of the services we offer.

What is particularly important to me is our good partnership with family businesses which in turn enables us to offer their guests excellent quality.

Josef: You grew up on an idyllic small farm in Northern Germany. Are you able to compare farm-life and tourism?

Hinrika: You actually can, yes. The more cattle, the more work. That’s probably the same for the nominated coach operators: The more tours you organise, the more work you have. As most of the nominees are family firms, which is quite usual on farms as well, I can easily understand how they have to rely on our service as an inbound tour operator.

Josef: So, you are the perfect company to turn to regarding tours to the UK and Ireland?

Hinrika: That’s right: Hotels & More is the specialist for the UK and Ireland but Tour Partner Group with its various subsidiaries offers a lot more than that. Through the decades we have established good contacts in the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as Iceland and Greenland. When developing our products, we work very closely with our clients to design tours that meet their specific requirements. We can make itineraries stand out by adding in gourmet-packages and boutique hotels and visits to famous filming locations from Rosemunde Pilcher movies or Hollywood blockbusters. Our main goal is that the customer returns home content, have made some unforgettable memories. Additionally, happy customers are quite likely to leave a positive review on

Hinrika Bussmann | Hotels & More | Quality Bus Awards

Josef: QualityBus is primarily an online rating portal and generally a lot of communication nowadays has been digitalised. How do you evaluate the importance of getting in touch personally?

Hinrika: Personal contact is very important to us. We receive enquiries through a number of different channels, however we always choose to get in touch personally to run through specific details and discuss all the options available.

Josef: Hinrika, final question. What does the partnership with QualityBus mean to you?

Hinrika: We support the QualityBus Award to thank all the coach and group travel operators for their valued partnership. And of course we hope that when you think back on this year’s fantastic Quality Bus Award you remember Hotels & More as well.
