Discover the luscious landscapes and cultural cities of Northern England with us on this brand new 8 day tour. On this unique journey northwards you can expect an exciting mixture of vibrant culture, untouched nature and delicious food. Marvel at medieval buildings on a stroll through the historic city of York and , follow in the footsteps of the world famous chart toppers ‘The Beatles’ during a visit to the Beatles Story in Liverpool and enjoy the fascinating nature and breathtaking viewsfound in the Peak District National Park.

Day 1


Upon arrival in Hull, also known as the ‘city of sudden elegancies’, visit the historic fruit market area where a free hidden gem, The Streetlife Museum, awaits. Alternatively, explore the artistic side of Hull in Ferens Art Gallery located nearby the impressive Maritime Museum. After one of these short free visits, head over to the beautiful market town of Beverly. Be amazed by the gothic Beverly Minster, a parish church larger than many of England’s Cathedrals. Continue to Leeds in the afternoon and explore the city independently.

A flight option is available on request. On arrival at Leeds Bradford Airport a coach will pick you up and bring you to the city centre of Leeds. After some free time to explore the city, the coach will drop you off at the hotel.

Day 2


Marvel at how times have changed while on a visit to the York Castle Museum, which boasts a Victorian era shopping street. Alternatively, be swept back to medieval times on a visit to Barley Hall, a true hidden gem. No visit to York is complete without a stop at the imposing York Minster, one of Europe’s largest gothic cathedrals. Finally, end the day on a sweet note at York’s Chocolate Story, an interactive exhibition which introduces you to some of the biggest names in chocolate. 

Day 3

North York Moors, Whitby & Robin Hood's Bay

Board a historic steam train for a ride along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and explore one of North England’s most stunning landscapes, the North York Moors, in style. Upon arrival in Whitby, take a moment to enjoy the sights of this charming seaside town. It was here at Whitby Abbey that Bram Stroker got his inspiration for Dracula. Next, drive or walk along the coast to the idyllic fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay which is characterised by unique architectural details. In the late afternoon return to your hotel by coach.

Day 4

Peak District, Chatsworth House & Bakewell

Today will be spent exploring the breath-taking Peak District National Park. Start with a visit to the majestic Bolsover Castle, a medieval-style keep which hides luxurious rooms giving you the feeling of stepping into a fairy tale. Next continue to the heart of the Peak District where the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire open the doors and gardens of their stunning home, Chatsworth House. Wander around its richly-decorated halls or stroll through the enchanting gardens. Afterwards stop in the famous town of Bakewell, known for the delicious Bakewell Tart. Enjoy a scenic drive through more the Peak District on route to Manchester.

Day 5

Liverpool & Manchester music tour

Today is a day filled with tunes. Begin in Liverpool, famous for its role as Britain's music capital during the Swinging Sixties and learn about its best known export at The Beatles Story. After some free time in the city, return to Manchester, which of course has its own rich music history thanks to the likes of The Smiths, Oasis and the Bee Gees. Explore the city and its music on your own with the help of the hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus. Keep your eyes open for the Salford Lads’ Club and experience the glory of Manchester United at their stadium, Old Trafford. Roam through the heart of the city in search of the Hidden Gem Church and the gorgeous Manchester Cathedral.

Day 6


Travel to mighty Wales, famous for its impressive Castles. In the morning, travel to Conwy where you can visit the proud Conwy Castle, and walk along the massive walls surrounding the town in search for 'the smallest house', which is just 6 feet wide. Alternatively, pay a visit to the lush Bodnant Gardens instead and walk in between the splendid colourful flowerbeds. In the afternoon, journey to the ancient city of Chester. Leisurely walk around the city and discover it's fascinating legacy of beautiful Tudor-style buildings in its shopping district and visit the historic Roman amphitheatre. 

Day 7

Lake District & Lake Windermere

Spend today exploring the UNESCO Lake District known for its spectacular natural beauty and as a key source of  inspiration for poets and writers. Trace back the written words of English poet Wordsworth to his cottage near Grasmere, Dove Cottage. While there, try the mouth-watering Grasmere Gingerbread from the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. There is no better way to see all the inspiring facets of the Lake District than on a cruise over the clear waters of Lake Windermere. Upon arrival in Bowness-on-Windermere get acquainted with the creation of genius author Beatrix Potter during a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter with your guide Peter Rabbit.

Day 8

Homeward Journey

Start the homeward journey by traveling back to Hull. Before the night ferry departs in the evening there will be some time to explore more of the city and experience its emboldened cultural offering. In the evening, embark on the P&O Night Ferry to Rotterdam/Zeebrugge.

If you chose the flight option, depending on your departure time you can enjoy some free time in Leeds, before continuing to Leeds Bradford Airport for your return flight home.
